Fern Apfel is a Hudson Valley artist who specializes in making paintings with hand written text. Apfel’s work explores memory, language, and the passage of time through meticulously rendered compositions that reference letters, stamps, and printed ephemera.

Breanna Berger-Tzabar is a portrait photographer whose work explores and celebrates the complexity of femininity. At the heart of her work is a belief in the power of being seen. Specializing in creating safe spaces for intimate portraiture, Breanna empowers women through self-expression and bold choices during her sessions.

He uses both processes to record simple observations as well as to embark on more complex artistic and aesthetic investigations. Paintings can inspire a print project, and printmaking can be a catalyst for a painting series.

Ramiro Davaro-Comas is an Argentine/American artist, muralist and art educator. His passions for painting, storytelling, and community work have pushed him to travel throughout his career, collaborating with galleries and artists around the world. He splits his time between his studio practice and his public art work. Davaro-Comas is currently co-directing Super-Stories, an organization he launched with artist Grace Lang that focuses on arts education and large scale mural projects. Their motto is - If you know something, teach it!

Ralph Gartner is a photographer and digital artist who loves to capture the uniqueness and beauty of where he is. He is a local artist living in Valatie, NY. You will find Ralph in the garden or on the trail documenting the minutia of our incredible world, life cycles,

flowers, praying mantis, rocks, birds and nature. He is dedicated to capturing the details to inspire joy and wonder of what we all see everyday in amazing Columbia County, but may forget to stop and appreciate. He shares this beauty and hopes to encourage you to spend part of your day doing the same.

Patrick Harbron is a widely published photographer known for his work of music and portraiture in editorial and advertising. Work in television and film followed. Clients included Apple, HBO, Rolling Stone, TIME, Hulu, Sony, CBS Television, and Netflix and private collectors.

Patrick’s fine art and rock and roll photography is represented by galleries worldwide. His many exhibits include, ‘Rock and Roll Icons’ Photographs by Patrick Harbron at the New York Public Library at Lincoln Center in May 2012 and Albany Institute of History and Art- November 2016 - February 2017.

He is an author, lecturer, educator and was a Visiting Fellow at the Council of Independent Colleges.

​

Patrick's photography has earned numerous awards including, two Juno Award nominations and inclusion in Taschen’s book, ‘1000 Record Covers’. In June 2025 he was inducted into CAPIC as a legendary Canadian photographer.

This exhibit of fine art, digital tin-type style photographs is his first extensive display of non-music related work.

Nicholas Haylett is an artist living and working in Kinderhook, specializing in small room portraits and landscapes. His work has been shown at Pamela Salisbury Gallery in Hudson, Northeast Gallery in Kinderhook, the Spencertown Academy and the Print House, Stuyvesant.  He was a participant in the 2024 Kinderhook Memorial Library Open Studios weekend and in this year’s Upstate Art Weekend Open Studios Program.

Sandra Koponen is a painter and creates outdoor and sonic sculpture. Before she started oil painting in 2012, she worked as a musician/composer, journalist, and photographer. Soon after taking up the brush, she began exhibiting her paintings

and has been in solo and group shows every year since. Her work has received press in The NY Times, The Times Union and other publications. Moving from NYC to Stuyvesant in 2017, she planted a lovely garden and began making and exhibiting outdoor sculpture, while continuing her

painting practice. With subjects ranging from political portraiture to abstract landscapes, her paintings are colorful, painterly and capture the spirit of the moment.

Susanne Lamb is an illustrator and designer living in Kinderhook. She studied Illustration, English, and History at the Rhode Island School of Design before holding a career in New York City designing apparel. Currently, Susanne enjoys working on many local projects including maps and merchandise for the Village of Kinderhook and nearby businesses. She works both traditionally and digitally. Past clients include Chronicle Books, Hot Topic, Kohl’s, Shopbop, Snapchat, Stonyfield, TJ Maxx, Urban Outfitters, and Yankee Candle.

Grace Lang is a mixed media artist and educator based in the Hudson Valley, where she creates both two and three dimensional work that invites playful interpretation of personal myths. She is particularly interested in tactile processes informed by her work with children, seeking to channel her own inner child through openness and material experimentation. These days, she is engaged in a new form of world-building, exploring an imagined language of creatures and icons, many of which are taken from her own childhood drawings. This body of work is a joyful window into her past, but as it has emerged during her first years of motherhood, it’s become a peephole into possible futures. In addition to her personal art practice, Grace runs Super-Stories, an art education non-profit and Makers Space with her partner. Grace holds undergraduate degrees in Illustration and Literary Studies from the New School, as well as Masters in Educational Psychology from the College of Saint Rose. She has participated in artist residencies around the world.

John Morra is a painter living and working in Stuyvesant, NY. Realism in painting today is seen by some as an anachronism, in light of recent surges in technology, automation, and new art forms such as film and computer-generated imagery. But Morra believes that the desire to express the world in painted form is an ancient impulse in human beings; it may even be a feature that accelerated our evolution. By carefully observing the world, whether the subject be a bowl of fruit, or a view of a forest, or a human face, painters can tap into a deeply satisfying mode of perception and understanding. Paintings made in such a state will thus continue to be meaningful, as they display our ability to see, understand, and present these observations as true and beautiful.
